Helpful tips

Helpful Hints

ANY FULLY VACCINATED DOG THAT A CHILD CAN CONTROL THAT IS 15 WEEKS OF AGE OR OLDER IS WELCOME.

Have a designated "grab and go" 4-H bag with the following suggested items in it:
Club calendar, treats or some other type of motivator for your dog (such as a squeaky toy, ball, etc), extra 6 foot leash, bowl and water for your dog, water for yourself, bags for clean up (dog waste must be disposed of in the outdoor trash receptacle on the east side of the bldg), 4-H newsletter, your K-9 Companions folder, and if you are on the Club Board i.e Secretary, Treasurer, keep all your Board paperwork in this bag also.

We strongly encourage the use of flat buckle collars or a head harness such as a Halti or Promise collar. NO PRONG COLLARS.

You must practice with your dog at home! Repetition of the exercises you learn at Dog Club is the key to learning and success!

YOU are responsible for reading the rules and all the information in the handbook you received!

Parents: Keep track of all the activities your child participates in in 4-H as this counts towards award trips!
